This unique sideboard is crafted from Polstead oak, which was salvaged from the infamous 1987 storm. In fact, it was the very first piece I designed using steam bending, posing quite a challenge as I had to shape numerous curves into a single plank of wood. Its doors open with ease thanks to a clever pivot system and bearings to ensure a smooth movement. Its striking asymmetrical design sets it apart as a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
Every joint is skilfully morticed by hand and secured with pegs for lasting durability.
